in Nicks own words...

Rd 1 Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit:

Being a local circuit for MSS Discovery, and also the first round of the 2008 season, we tend to put a lot pressure on ourselves for a result, in the past Pere Riba shone for us here with lap records and top results. The circuit is demanding on bike and rider alike with undulations, off cambers and some really fast flowing stuff out the back among the trees - then they come back into view accelerating hard out clearways which will test any bikes chassis for grip and steering, you need both... very easy to have neither.

Rd 2 Thruxton:

Chassis, chassis and, er, chassis. This circuit is ultra fast and requires stability combined with side grip and steering for the last turn and the complex. It's not just motor here - but it helps, Steve Allan on Bertha, our ZX-9R Superstocker proved this by putting her on the front row against a plethora of R1 Yamaha's !! Very enjoyable meeting combining a good crowd and tough high speed entertainment.

Rd 3 and 7 Oulton Park:

This circuit reminds us of Brands GP. Similar in layout with some fantastic viewing areas, unfortunately it has never been kind to us in any of the 3 disciplines we have competed in. So this year we will be working 24/7 to get both Billy and Stuart's bike 110% for this one. Always well attended with the parkland type setting almost too picturesque to race 200hp Superbikes round.

Rd 4 Donington Park:

The home of the British GP, we have always run well here so with the new 2008 ZX10-R Ninja that should continue, the whole place is about Craner-Old Hairpin-Swantz if you make a cods of it up the top of Craner your lap is ruined. You need to be very precise and have a very agile bike to get the best from Donington - and once again grip is going to be essential towards the end of the race. On a personal note, the circuit lacks feel and atmosphere - not my favourite even though we have had good results.

Rd 5 Snetterton:

Another local circuit for us and also the home of my very first race, so I feel passionate about the old Norfolk airfield. Mega racing good crowds with fantastic atmosphere...with the circuit being very flat and not particularly technical I think that confidence in your bike is essential if not paramount to a good lap. Averaging over 100mph round here takes balls, big balls to be honest, don't miss it !!

Rd 6 Mallory Park:

The Friendly Circuit, well it's not been to kind to us for various reason's but still a great spectacle seeing a 200bhp Superbike being hussled round here. Devils Elbow and the entry to Turn one 'Gerrards' are the places to watch; we will be working flat out on getting good tyre life here because even with the introduction of the controversial chicanes the riders still spend a lot of time on side of the bike.

Rd 8 Knockhill:

The long slog up the motorway to 'Jockhill', we have for a number of years had a Scottish rider so the Jock GP is like Brands or Snet for us. I can honestly say that it is always a fantastic event we have run at the pointy end on numerous occasions so the pressure's on Stu !! I think that our bike will work well here as it very agile with excellent drive and excellent braking stability...watch this one, good crowd and a happy Easton could upset the form book !!!

Rd 9 Cadwell Park:

Huge Bank holiday Monday crowd coupled with the leap over the mountain is a sight to behold, I think Cadwell is in its own little world with chassis sertings but not to dissimilar to Oulton or Brands with it's up hill and down dale layout. Everything will be working well by this stage of the season with the bike and development will be full steam ahead, so we really should be reaping the benefits, so look for the green bikes mixing it !!

Rd 10 Croft:

Very Snetterton flat and requires 'grand cohones', the bike will be set up very similar to Snetterton but with all the improvements which we have made over the year. Enjoyable meeting with typical North East flavour and enthusiasm.

Rd 11 Silverstone:

Our Team has always run at the very pointy end here once again with Riba pushing the factory boys at WSS level to get two fine 4th places, with Steve Allan also on the rostrum in Northants we are looking forward to some strong finishes here. With extremely fast corners and width of circuit suitable for F1 it will be not for the feint hearted and once again I think our finely tuned Ninja will be running with the best. To attain this though we will have to work over time on the front end and, as always with Silverstone, there will be tyre chatter somewhere waiting to rear it's ugly head !!

Rd 12 Brands Indy:

Back to our beloved Brands Hatch and believe you me 30 odd laps round here will be hectic, more work on the front end to help Billy and Stuart make those passes stick and getting the 'Anti Spike System' fine tuned for the 'hard on the gas' exit of Clearways. It will be a truly awesome last round with both our lads pushing right to the end, top racing with a customary huge crowd and an even bigger end of year party to round off the year !!
